A most extraordinary rendition of the brave souls who perished in the Titanic are assembled on the grand staircase of the ship. Limited edition of 1912, signed and numbered. Marek Sarba is a veteran of 19 years aboard merchant ships.

He has painted maritime subjects for almost a quarter of a century and his exhibitions abroad have been held in Norway, Denmark, Poland and Germany, He emigrated from Poland in 1981 and his work has been displayed at Mystic Seaport, the Mariners’ Museum, the Historical Society of Maryland to name a few.

Mr Sarba has not taken the easy road or given in to passing fancy as other artists who paint billowing sails and make-believe oceans from their armchair dreams. He paints from the pit of his stomach viscerally recounting in oil on canvas the solitude and terror and overwhelming grace of the sea as he experienced it for nearly two decades.
