CARPATHIA

A Biography of the Titanic’s Rescue Ship

By Roger Pickenpaugh

On April 15, 1912, Titanic sank in the North Atlantic taking over
1,500 souls with her.The death toll would have been higher if it had
not been the quick actions taken by Capt. Rostron of the Cunarder
Carpathia and, as a result, 705 were saved. The author has written
over a dozen works of history and his latest is the story of that
fateful night plus a complete biography of her career from
construction, her service as an immigrant ship, an early cruise ship to
a trooper in World War One and her sinking from a torpedo on July
17, 1918 off the coast of Ireland. Illustrated. Softcover. 158 pages.
