Royal Crown Derby China on the Titanic can be yours

Titanic was heralded as the finest liner built so obviously she had to have the very best china. This pattern was chosen by the ship’s owners from a Royal Crown Derby pattern over 100 years ago but it looks as fresh today, a testament to superb design. The official description printed at the time reads: “A design in exquisite taste has been chosen for the china for the Titanic consisting of a band of encrusted gold work with painted ornament of Chaplets and Festoons in the style of Louis XVI, delicately finished in tints of green. The whole effect is simply stunning.”
To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the launch of Titanic, Royal Crown Derby are reproducing the tableware pattern for the first time for a limited time. The pattern will be unique because the Company is still producing on the same site in Derby, England where they made the originals 100 years ago. The pattern is being reproduced with the original Oceanic Steam Navigation Company (OSNC/White Star Line) monogram in the center until December 31, 2012 and presented in a stately Royal Blue gift box with accompanying reproduction literature that was in the original order about being featured on Titanic.
