H&W Employee Pension Receipt
Looking for Something Different?
A Unique Collectable for a modest price
Have you wondered who the employees were at Harland & Wolff when the great liners were being built, perhaps even Olympic, Titanic or Britannic? Thanks to Paul Louden-Brown, a number of pension payment receipts to retired workers in the 1970s could reveal some of the people. Many have their signatures (below) on the back. At the age of 81 in 1978, Mr. J. Mallard was born in 1897 which means he could have been an apprentice when the great White Star liners were building.
As a means to raise funds for the Titanic Historical Society, we are offering a limited number of these historic documents of H&W shipyard employees for $25 each. When they are gone, they are gone.
